So it’s my last day in Sydney today and I was listening to Nova 96.9 in the car this morning when I heard the radio people debating about whether or not it’s possible to have so many magnets on a fridge door that it would cause the hinge to break. Yes, enlightening breakfast radio discussion I know. Anyways, one of the people (we’ll call them “debator #1″) says “WHAT A CROCK!” and then debator #2 says “Mate, that’s a crock!” and hilarity ensued.

If I wasn’t in the driving seat of a car and sitting on a seat somewhere else I would have literally fallen off my seat. It just reminded me of how funny Australian slang can be.

For the uninitiated here’s a definition from itchy-feet.com.au:

Crock - not true, nonsense. “That’s a crock…”

So yes that’s one thing I’ll definitely miss about being here in Sydney. What a crock!

Great improvement!

(I don’t have any of my TTC shots here on this work laptop here in Sydney, or on my flickr account, so I had to use somebody else’s image)

During a four hour one-month (since we officially started dating) anniversary skype conversation with my lovely girlfriend I highlighted the fact that at present I feel as if I’m not really clear on what her top values are, and I’ve never really spoken about mine to her. I expressed that this lack of clarity could lead to some miscommunication and expectations not being met. So I felt it important that we shared each others’ values. She agreed.

So here are my top 5 values as I currently understand them:

1. Helping Others
2. Relationships
3. Wealth
4. Family
5. Health
