mp3 piracy

I just received an email from a friend pointing me to this article regarding a possible international move to try and counter internet piracy by having customs check for people with pirated music on their MP3 players.

This has got to be one of the dumbest plans I’ve ever heard of. Good luck to whoever is trying to implement it.

So assuming this actually becomes law, they’ll catch people with music on their MP3 players wow. I don’t see it actually reducing piracy much.

This reminds me of the Debate of the Century at Cornell University, April 14, 2005. It’s been over two years, and this is the best that they could come up with?

I can’t recall the last time that I had a cold but today I have one. I had an inkling something was coming yesterday when I was sneezing frequently.

So today I feel under the weather, and it was raining outside for a while too.

Fortunately I received the following daily dose of happiness:

LIFE

Traffic stops. It starts. It slows down. Then you find a good stretch where you can activate the cruise control. Along the way, there are turns. Many of them are planned in advance, Some are last minute decisions (Oops…forgot to pick up bread). Some are total surprises, like the detour or the crash up ahead.

Life is a trip. There are times it speeds up, times it slows down, times it seems to be on a roller coaster and times when it just moves forward at a relaxed and steady pace. And there are plenty of curves and changes of directions. There are times when we suddenly change our plans and when those plans are suddenly changed for us.

That’s OK, life is dynamic. Enjoy the ride.

So indeed I won’t let this get me down, and I will enjoy the ride. I’ll still get some stuff done and make it to salsa class tonight!
