Thought I’d share some geek stuff I came across today.

- The Great Flickr Tools Collection. So many tools I don’t know where to begin!
- Flickr Wallpaper which can rotate my wallpaper using a random Flickr image every hour (or daily as configured). This was also featured on PC Advisor’s 8 essential photo-sharing tools.
- Mosaica, a screensaver app using Flickr images. I’ve yet to try it.

- How to Schedule a Daily Automatic Task in Windows Vista. I used it to schedule Flickr Wallpaper mentioned above.
- Disable User Account Control (UAC) the Easy Way. Oh man this immediately solved my frequent annoyance with that Vista “feature”!
It’s been a while since I last did an appreciation list, wow over a year ago! So I’m well overdue.

Today I appreciate…
- the 24 hr street car that runs up and down Queen St because it made carrying three large bags of laundry to the laundromat at 7am this morning a LOT easier!
- the makers of fantastic technology Skype as it made my across-the-ocean chat with Miss M yesterday fun (we had video on), free and possible. It was a great and much needed chat.
- my manager for supporting me (probably against company policy) in attending an almost $3000 CAD PMP Preparation Course all of next week despite the company trying to push us through their own acquired web-based training courses (which frankly bore me to death and deter me from wanting to learn).
- all the amazing friends that I’ve made here in Toronto. In particular my crew (you know who you are!) for all the crazy moments. It never gets boring here that’s for sure!
- my friends and family back home in Sydney, as well as in other countries I’ve visited (and not visited i.e. holler to my girl Manila living in Dubai!)
- wireless internet and the person who did not secure their network. How would I post this from the laundromat without you?
- freecycle.org - keeping good stuff out of landfills… what a brilliant concept!
- couchsurfing.com - the most wonderful and boundary-expanding network I’ve ever come across. Without it I wouldn’t have met my TO crew! (I appreciate Jake for recommending the site to me too)
- summer finally arriving in Toronto. It really is a different place without the cold and snow everywhere.
- the Cuba Mojito Club (aka. Nadja, Neesa, Alex and Charles) for a truly memorable first trip to Cuba. Our impromptu performance of The Lion Sleeps Tonight at our casa in Cienfuegos was GOLD and that’s just one of many brilliant moments.
