I had a wicked 4 days in Melbourne. Let me give you a breakdown… wed - arrived that night, hit the bar in the hotel, hit the sports bar in Crown Casion, hit Odean club at Crown, got absolutely smashed with my old team, had a 5am club sandwich in one of their rooms before crashing at 5.30am for a 6am wakeup LOL. thu - was dying in training. very hard to maintain focus LMAO. after work I hit the treadmill, got re-energised and went to dinner at Lygon St. Between me and 2 other colleagues we finished 4 bottles of red LOL. Surprisingly I wasn’t drunk but I sure did sleep well that night hahahah lygon street fri - more attentive at training. Following work the team held a farewell bash for myself and Allison at Blvd bar (near our hotel). After several rounds of drinks we ended up at Odean yet again and the challenge was on… last one to stay at the club was the winnar! As it turned out it was ME! ROFL. Let’s just say that it was a very memorable night. sat - had a lovely Lygon lunch (mmm fresh oysters and porterhouse) with Mishku and her little bro, then we went and saw the Dalai Lama. The stadium was packed and his holiness was just so inspirational and incredibly humorous. He is a shining example of what the rest of humanity could be ie. free from prejudice and judgement and able to laugh at life. Dalai Lama Me n Mishku Later that night I had a Korean BBQ dinner with Tom, Jesse (his gf), and her friends. Matt joined us too to tell us about his forthcoming year-long trip around the world. Crashed at Tom’s place on his fold out sofa. OMGWTFKoreanBBQ! sun - woke up at 6.30am. At 7am driven to the airport by Tom and Jesse. Nice big brekkie at the airport before bidding farewell and passing through customs and heading to the departure lounge. Called parents before boarding the plane. So yes, I had an absolute blast in Melbourne and I attribute it to the great people that was involved.
