I just came across an interesting perspective on the exponential gain in popularity of community sites such as myspace, facebook, and many other social networking websites.Well it’s not so much a discussion about the rise in social networks, but more about how dangerous it can be. My primary reason for utilising such sites is to stay in touch with people. It’s a whole lot easier than doing the email thing (who hates responding to long-ass emails?), and you get to see a bit more of a person’s personality and character. Of course, discretion is advised always. You don’t want to post some negative statement about your boss or work colleague only to get fired the next day.

My only gripe, which I raised previously, is that there’s simply too man damn sites around and it sucks when people I know are using different sites!
