So I’ve decided to take up Salsa dancing. This all came about yesterday, after I decided that I’m going to visit Costa Rica next January instead of heading to Whistler as I had originally intended. In actual fact the original original plan was to spend a week in Cancun, Mexico.
So now I’ll do a bit of Cancun and a bit of Costa Rica. I’ve already got a couple of tour guides lined up - they happen to be two work colleagues in Costa Rica that I’m currently working with on a project.
A friend and I discussed attending Salsa classes a while ago but nothing ever eventuated, primarily due to our busy and often unpredictable work schedules as well as lack of motivation and other things.
Well now that I have some time up my sleeve (Monday evenings), I figure now is as great a time as any to begin taking classes.
I’m going to give Parramatta Dance Studios a call and see if there’s room for me in their Salsa Beginners 1 class, which commences tomorrow night.
So what do you get when you combine the Street Fighter video game with Salsa? Check this out:
Looks like a great deal of fun!
Salsa is a big thing in Sydney. I’ve got another mate who’s been doing it for a while now. Here’s some more info that I received about Salsa dancing in Sydney:

In line with the whole traveling to South America thing I’ve set a daily goal to listen to at least ten minutes of a "learn Spanish" CD that a friend gave me previously.
