I spent most of today at the Sydney Property and Investment Expo. For an entry fee of $13 (I saved $5 because I had pre-registered online for the event) I can definitely say that I got more than my money’s worth, or in business lingo I had an excellent return on investment (ROI).
I attended today’s expo with a friend of mine who is also enthusiastic about investing in property and though we have slightly different investment objectives it was good to have the opportunity to be able to bounce ideas off each other. It also gave us a good opportunity to catch up on things. At the end of the day we scored a mini loll dispenser each for having sat in an hour session of a franchise/business opportunity. That was pretty cool.
Less than ten minutes ago I had just gotten off a one hour plus phone conversation with another friend I basically went on a rant about how my life had changed from the moment when I realised how powerful the mind can be (and how The Secret had helped put things in perspective for me). Though we have differing views on the concepts presented in the documentary (he didn’t agree with some things that were said), my friend did acknowledge that a lot of what was spoken about was similar to his studies of the Bible so the concepts weren’t foreign to him.
I must have sounded like a broken record, reiterating my strong belief that we are the creators of our lives. Things have been happening far too frequently recently in my life for it to be a simple case of luck or coincidence.
I didn’t mention this to either friend today but last Friday, when I took the day off work and also attended the Property & Investment Expo, I manifested three situations. The first was in the morning when I parked my car and walked leisurely to the train station not knowing when the train would arrive, purchasing my ticket casually, and then having the train arrive a minute later.
The second situation occurred in the city, on the way back from the Expo when I stopped to purchase a lycee pearl tea drink from Easy Way just before entering Town Hall Station. I don’t even know why I stopped at that shop because I wasn’t planning on buying a drink there before I had arrived at the shop. Once there however I intended on using the coins in my wallet to buy a drink but I had no idea of the total value of coins that I was holding. So anyway I instructed the sales person to add pearls and jellies to the drink (which were an additional cost). The total price turned out to be $3.70. Guess how much I had in coins? Just enough to cover the drink and get 10c back in change!
The third manifestation occurred when I arrived back at the station from which I had departed from. Let’s just say I had visualised (in the morning) seeing a certain person that day and, even though we had spoken on the phone and it appeared that we were not going to see each other due to various reasons, we did end up seeing each other (albeit briefly) that very day.
Three out of three. That’s got to be more than pure luck or coincidence.
Back to my conversation earlier tonight… so my friend is going through a challenging time and he expressed self frustration because he too is aware (and in agreeance) that the situation that he is in now is of his own choice ie. he created it. He knows that if he is to change his situation and achieve his life goals then he must invest accordingly - and I’m not talking money here. I’m talking time, emotionally and spiritually. Only then will he see an ROI that he will be happy with.
