Just think it’s time that i did something that actually mattered to somebody, not some corporate CEO or shareholder pocketing the profit out of exploiting other people’s misery.
Woah… moment of revelation there.
Other volunteer sites I came across whilst I felt a sudden desire to do something other than worry about my day job:
Oh and Friday 26th May is 65 Roses Day - a day dedicated to fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
I mean face it, you are nerdier than about half the test takers.

This is what I’ve been listening to…

It was an interesting experience returning to my old stomping grounds today. Along with three other mates I’m organising a 10-year reunion y’see. I’ve always wanted to go back and visit anyway but today was my first real opportunity.
The school has had some cosmetic changes and some additional buildings added (the main assembly area is undergoing some construction). Three of the front office ladies that were there in ‘96 are still there, and through one of them I discovered that at least eleven of our year twelve teachers are still teaching there. I also ran into three of them, one of which was my Japanese teacher! Amazing really.
After obtaining a visitor sticker (some things never change) and confirming that it was ok for me to walk around taking pictures I spent a good hour or so taking pics. Talk about flashbacks! I was caught in nostalgia as I walked around the place taking snaps of our fave hangouts and not-so-fave spots.
Here are a few of them:
Deputy Principal’s office (I was actually called up there once when I was placed on detention for putting paint on one of my classmates during an art class in grade 7!)
The beloved basketball court where I spent most of my HSC year (no wonder my marks weren’t so hot).
Good old hangout outside the old physics classroom.
The corridor leading up to the library. On the left is the old Student Representative Council (SRC) room where I could be found once a week every week for three years. Yes, I was responsible once in my life LOL.
Hopefully we can get our act together and make it happen. It’ll be a blast catching up with all the students and teachers after all these years. Can’t believe ten years has passed by so quickly.
let’s see…
