August 2005

So I was listening to 2DayFM’s “90’s at nine” today on my way to work and they’ve got a “guess the theme” thing going. Basically, five songs from the 90’s would be played and they all had something to do with a common theme.

The songs played were:

Tag Team - Whoomp!
Roxette - Joyride
Boyz II Men - End of the Road
Kris Kross - Jump
RHCP - Under the Bridge

At about the fourth track I worked it out, and I wanted so bad to call into the station and crack the code. Unfortunately I didn’t have the station’s phone number so I missed out.

The theme was obviously the newly opened Cross City Tunnel. Some lady managed to get through and guessed “travelling somewhere” but it wasn’t enough. Stupid ass.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Just checked the 2DayFM website and it appears the number is 13 10 60. So bring on the next theme!

I gotta say, great selection of 90’s tunes being played in the mornings. Takes me back to the good ol days and puts me in a happy mood for work.

Clever!

Check out the Arnie Soundboard and Arnie (and other celebrity) prank calls for some laughs.

You can find some fun Arnie pics here.

Fcuk I’m preggers. Just had a plate of pasta with microwaved sauce. So filling!! I’m theoretically meant to be sleeping in an hour, however I somehow doubt that’s going to happen now. I doubt I’ll be getting much rest at all before 2 am.

2.30 am, that’s when the Kia rental arrives at my door. Tomorrow I’m going snowboarding y’see.

Haven’t finished packing yet. How many pairs of socks should I take? Hmm…

Transferring some mp3s to my newly acquired 512MB Ipod Shuffle ($149 at Big W). What a b!tch. Took me five or six restarts of the PC before I could start transferring because my PC has a problem with USB 2 devices ie. it reboots every time I try to plug something in. What a piece of outdated crap!! If only I could invest in a new machine. Not going to happen anytime soon though. Bummer, coz now I have a mate wanting me to begin World of Warcraft with him.

I need to consider this one carefully. On the one hand, if I do decide to enter the realm of antisocial ub3r geeks it would mean bye bye social life (limited to special birthdays, internet cafe meetups and other important events) and less spending (one would hope). On the other hand, I might get so caught up in the virtual reality so much that I am distracted from achieving financial independence (I’m planning on buying an investment property before the end of the year). Decisions decisions.

Alright, I am really full now.

Time to pack.

Still in beta (like most other Google apps) this is Google’s answer to Microsoft’s super popular chat client MSN Messenger, AOL’s Instant Messenger, ICQ and Yahoo!’s Messenger.

GTalk here.

For those, like me, who could be arsed installing yet another chat client you can use Gtalk with Trillian. You just need trillian pro which supports Jabber. You could also try GAIM or Miranda IM which are 100% free.

Here is a link for setting up other clients (just click on a client to learn how to setup Gtalk).

Trillian also supports Gmail, including Gmail notifier.

So until i use Trillian Pro, which ain’t any time soon, I’ll stick to MSN (most peepz i know are on it anyway).
